We are so grateful to have you as part of our daily writing community. Seeing you show up for yourselves and each other each day, especially when things are hard, is something to be proud of. 

A week from today is Ash Wednesday, which will mark the beginning of Lent. Last year I wrote a blog about how you can use your Lenten practice to navigate and respond to these difficult times in the United States, and beyond, where freedom and safety of our neighbors is under threat. Unfortunately, many of these issues have taken on new forms and persisted to this day. You can revisit Episode 255 for a short list of suggestions and resources for taking spiritual action this Lenten season. 

Resistance and protest are not always easy, but they are necessary for change. Writing itself can be a form of resistance. Perhaps you have spent your time at the Writing Table contacting elected officials to demand action, or even used your writing as a tool to inspire others. Whatever that may look like for you, remember that setting the time aside to push back against oppression and injustice by using your voice is exactly what this season is all about.
