If, you want to revisit the Five Prompts to help you continue expanding your writing? Here they are and may they open your heart to what you need to say… Â
Â
Prompt #1 — What idea or story or piece of wisdom has been rolling around in my
head and in my heart for so long and I want to be sure I write about it someday? How can I go ahead and put words to it today?
Prompt #2 — What am I called to write? What is God or my higher power asking me to address with writing (and maybe speaking and preaching and presenting)?
Prompt #3 — When I think of my ancestors and a future generations, what do I need to write for their sake?
Prompt #4 — Where is my spirit feeling led today? What is most urgent in the world or in my heart that needs my
attention and words?
Prompt #5 — Who do I most want to write for and why is it important to write for them? (It might be God, yourself, a beloved, a community, or anyone else; trust the Spirit and your heart to lead you.)
Â
If you follow these prompts you will have some good writing to return to, to edit, and to revise for publication -- if that is your hope. You will also have answered important questions for yourself!Â
