Hello, -
This week I traveled to Indianapolis for Craig Dykstra's memorial service. Short turn-around travel is a privilege, and it can also be a challenge. I felt both these realities as my flights were delayed then cancelled. Rebooked and then delayed. But the travel brought my path to cross the path of interesting people. And eventually I reached my destination.
My travel persistence, however, paid off when I was able to share how Craig's questions and insights have shaped my work with his wife, sons, and grandchildren. The service itself was rich. It was also great to connect with other friends, colleagues, and people who share so many similar commitments to
church, ministry, and theological education.
My reflection about the impact of Craig Dykstra's work on m research and vocation is here.
