How have you found your speaking or writing voice? When you preach, pray, lead, or publish? 

My guest this week, Rev. Bruce Reyes-Chow has something to say about his own writing voice. And he tells us about the great experience of having his book editor catch that voice early in their work together on his new book, Everything Good about God is True. 

In the book's acknowledgements, however, Bruce admits he nearly gave up on the whole thing! So I asked Bruce how he stuck with it and finished his book.

Here is what he told me... 

This week I thought about how we discover and cultivate (it's both finding it and making it better!) our own writing voices. And I want to help you think about how that process is a great deal like other practices. So I summed up my thoughts in four stepping stones that will move you toward more of your speaking and writing voice.
