Dear ,
If you've had a year anything like mine, you may be feeling the weight of it all bearing down this Advent season. Or perhaps it is just exhaustion you are feeling? Maybe there are losses - clear and ambiguous - that have piled up? Grief pulling you up short in unexpected moments?
In one week we will hold a gathering on Sunday, December 22, the longest night of the year. We are planning for time to acknowledge whatever we are each carrying. Would you join us as we name and honor loss, grief, and laments that you are carrying in this season?
We especially want to make space for ministers, chaplains, and faith leaders who have been helping others with their burdens. Now is a time for you to just be. To breathe. To pray and listen to silence and song.
