Every trip we make around the sun, and especially as we grow older, we lose the saints who mark our lives. Friends, family, work colleagues, neighbors, and fellow members of our communities of faith. This virtual service on November 1 will be a moment to name them and honor their memory with prayers of thanksgiving.
Ministers, chaplains, professors: we especially created this service with you in mind. You may be responsible for leading services on the weekends, or chapel services during the week, teaching many classes, or planning events. So this is a moment on All Saints’ Day for you to come and attend to your own grief.

How can you attend to your Vocational grief?
We invite you to think about how you can acknowledge and honor your vocational grief. Whatever
your calling in life is – teaching, parenting, ministry, farming, praying, creating art, sports, healthcare, social work, politics, writing, singing, building, shipping, repairing, cooking – there are losses and hidden demands that people beyond your world do not know about. The loss and grief are real, and you can talk about it. I hope you will consider ways to acknowledge and honor your griefs. Join us on All Saints' Day to do just that.
