Author, novelist, playwright, and poet James Baldwin said what one needs to write, must write, is that which "irritates you and won't let you go." Do you
already have something in mind when you read that? Hang on to it. Because it's going to take endurance to get it out and get it said.
Worry less over your talent and think more about taking steps with endurance. You can do it. Join us tomorrow at the Writing Table for #FreeWrite Friday! Building a solid writing habit will be your best friend for getting this work that you must do, out into the world. And just think, you can write with an amazing, supportive and energizing community! We've got space for you at the Writing Table.

Fall Plans for Writing Table We would love to hear from you! We are making plans for fall. We have put together a few questions for you to test interest about new *potential* group times. We are not changing the existing time, but considering an additional time for new (or existing) Writing Table group members. We are also gathering info about when we might schedule a fall writing retreat or two. Let us know your thoughts. We want your input as we consider expanding the offerings at the Writing Table in the fall of 2023. It will take you about 3 minutes to respond!
Something New for You I am writing some
stories, and I'm inviting you to bring your stories and self into a new community. Baptized and Ordained is my latest book-in-progress and also a community of people who care about how ministry and church are
changing with leadership from women and queer clergy over the last 60 years. I really hope you will consider jumping in to the new community, giving me feedback,
and connecting with other people who care about women and lgbitqa+ people who are baptized and called to ministry. It's a year-long experience! Join us! Doors close Oct. 1. Watch this short video to learn more. Then visit the Baptized & Ordained registration page.
Leadership at the Writing Table Eileen Campbell-Reed (she/hers)
I've been coaching writers since 2013. I'm also a published author, ethnographer, co-director of a
national, ecumenical and longitudinal study of ministry in practice, journal editor, professor, and mentor. I bring together many of these experiences when I host the Writing Table (most) weekdays. It is my delight to offer friendly, gentle coaching and to hold the space for all kinds of writers at the Writing Table. I hope you will join me on Fridays or any day of the week!

Changes to the Writing
Table for 2023 are here. Writing is solitary work, but it is best done in community. Ironic, but true. Over the last three years, I've been cultivating a community of writers who join me at the Writing Table most mornings. We are building good writing habits. Not binging or rushing, but doing our work patiently and with support. Consider how your writing life could be so much more this summer... more connected, more supported, more fruitful, more joyful. The Writing Table is a place for you! If you join for
a year, it is less than $3 per week.
Coaching and Writing Table Options I
started coaching writers 10 years ago. Maybe you are in a time when you are ready for personalized coaching for your project? Here are some options for you to work with me.
1. Coaching + Writing Table: Sessions of individual coaching to help you with planning and carrying out your writing. Every coaching session includes 3 months of membership at the Writing Table.
2. Developmental Coaching + Writing Table: Sessions of individual coaching to support your writing habits and also reading and feedback on your current writing project. Every session includes three (3) months of membership at the Writing Table.
4. Writing Table for a Month. Maybe you just have one project or you would rather try out pay by the
month. What would it be like to give a solid hour a day to your writing practice? For just $20 you can try it and see. What is holding you back? Just $20 per month or $150
for the year
5. FreeWrite Fridays: Keep coming to the Writing Table on Fridays for no cost! Just sign up for weekly email reminders! |
