Welcome to another October week at the Writing Table!
As a group, we write about a lot of different things. No one ever has to say, but some of you generously tell us what is filling your pages,
screens, sermons, articles, and books.
Sometimes anger is the clue to show us what is most important to write.
Other times it is our losses that lead us to see something more significant, deeper, even profound. This week I offer this strategy: I hope you might connect your emotional life to your writing life more directly. Perhaps give yourself a little space to let that connection grow through some free writing.
Pauline Boss has good advice for how to work with our ambiguous losses. She says focus on resilience rather than closure.
