Welcome to Easter Monday.
Time for rest. Laughter. Leaning into joy. And practicing resurrection. Plus, we have a brand new Study Guide for you and your congregation. We think
Easter season is the perfect time!
CARING FOR JOY
Now that the challenge of planning and leading Holy Week and Easter services has passed, how will you rest this week...
What does
your body need to be renewed?
How can you offer your mind a respite from creating, fixing and doing?
What would
it be like to take a full day this week and do no work, and instead to meander, dabble, ponder, squander some time?
We think Eastertide (the worship season following Easter Sunday) is the perfect time to practice resurrection with your congregation. We have created a Study Guide for the #PandemicPastoring Report. Why? Because you can be equipped to share the ideas and questions from the #PPR research. We want you to lean into rest, renewal, and resurrection with your church or faith community.
To jumpstart those conversations in your congregation or faith-based organization, the #PandemicPastoring Study Guide is now available for pre-order. For just $15 (+S&H) you can get everything you need to lead three sessions with your faith group. We've extended the pre-order price for just one week. The price will increase by April 18.
BONUS - FREE DOWNLOADS!
If you order the PPR Study Guide before April 18, you will also receive two printable downloads. They are great for sharing! "Take 5 Minutes to Appreciate a Minister" gives you simple ideas for supporting any chaplain, pastor or minister. And "5 Ways to Give Yourself Permission" is for anyone who could use a few good ideas to get more of the selfcare you need into your life.
How can Christian leaders adapt to the changes the pandemic has brought? As someone who has studied pastors and
volunteers intensely over the past three years, I have suggestions for adjusting to a new reality.
Holy Week is a beautiful and sometimes exhausting experience for clergy leaders. They plan and lead the highest highs and lowest lows of the Christian story in just one week's time.
In the #PandemicPastoring Report, we learned just how grateful lay leaders felt for their pastors. We also heard how much they wished that they had expressed that thanks more often. Don't let another day go by. Thank a minister for all their love and hard work. The last three years has been so much. And even a small word or gesture of thanks can go a long way.
